A Socket item is eligible equipment with socket slots. An empty socket has no mounted Seed Sphere bonus. Owning five possible slots is not the same as having five filled, useful bonuses.
Start with eligible equipment
Examples in the current eligible-item list include Flameberge, Sword Breaker, Rune Bastard Sword. Not every weapon or armour piece can become Socket equipment. Read the actual item’s slots and requirements before buying it.
The configured Selupan reward pool includes Socket equipment. It does not promise a particular item, socket count or finished Seed setup. The number of actual sockets on a drop can be below the item type’s supported maximum of five.

- The Excellent and Ancient items in step 1 are consumed. The Seed type is random, so you may need several Seeds to get the one you want.
- Fire, Ice and Lightning are weapon options. Water, Wind and Earth are armour options. A Seed Sphere that does not fit the item is refused, but the Zen is still charged, so check before you confirm.
- You can only use a slot that the item actually has; an item with 2 sockets cannot take a third Seed Sphere.

These are the option-table values for those tiers, not the chance of crafting the Seed and not a guarantee of the final change in your character screen. Sphere tier, option type and the rest of your build matter.
Bonus combinations
Some Socket bonuses require particular option types or arrangements. Filling every slot with unrelated options does not guarantee an additional combination or set bonus. Plan the arrangement before spending Seeds.
Before removing a Seed Sphere
Removing a Seed Sphere destroys it. You get back the empty slot, not the Seed Sphere. Plan your options before you mount them.
The current normal Harmony application rules do not accept Socket equipment. A Harmony jewel used as a Seed-crafting ingredient is a different action from applying Harmony directly to the Socket item.
The Castle Siege Chaos tax is added on top of the Zen shown. If a Seed or Seed Sphere mix fails, all its materials are lost.
