This guide takes you from a new account to the login screen. Do the steps in order.
1. Create your account
Open the Register page on the website and fill in the form.

| Name | 2–10 characters. |
| Username | 4–10 characters. Lowercase letters a-z and numbers 0-9 only. You log in to the game with it. |
| Password | 4–10 characters. Repeat it in the next field. |
| A real address you can open, up to 50 characters. Repeat it in the next field. | |
| Personal ID | A private 7-digit code that you choose. You need it to clear your inventory and to change the code. |
| Referral code | Optional. Enter a friend's invitation number or leave it empty. |
Enter the security code from the image, accept the Terms of use and send the form.
2. Activate your account
New accounts stay locked until you confirm your e-mail address. Open the e-mail sent to you and click the activation link. Check the spam folder if you cannot find it.
3. Download and install
- Download the ANASTARIA installer from the Downloads page.
- You need Windows 7 SP1 or newer and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8. Setup stops and tells you if .NET Framework 4.8 is missing.
- Run Setup and allow administrator rights. The default folder is Program Files\ANASTARIA.
- A desktop shortcut is optional. A Start menu shortcut is always created.
- At the end, Setup can open the launcher for you.
4. Use the launcher
- The launcher checks the game files every time it opens. Play unlocks after the check passes.
- Only missing or changed files are downloaded. Your game settings are kept.
- If the game does not start or files look broken, use the verify and repair button. It checks every file again.
- Close the game before an update.
- The launcher settings offer English, Romanian and Russian, and let you turn the visual effects off.
- The close button hides the launcher next to the clock. To quit it, use Exit in the menu of its tray icon.
- You can run up to two game windows from the launcher.
5. First login
Press Play, log in with your username and password and create your first character. Read the Character Classes guide before you choose.
Problems
- No activation e-mail: wait a few minutes and check the spam folder.
- Play stays locked: check your internet connection and run verify and repair.
- Missing component message: install the runtime that the launcher asks for. The Downloads page links to the official installers.
