Starter shops help you begin hunting. They are not a shortcut to finished endgame equipment. Buy what your character can use now and keep some Zen for potions and travel.
Find your class equipment
| Class | Merchant | Town | Coordinates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Knight | Hanzo the Blacksmith | Lorencia | (116, 141) |
| Dark Wizard | Pasi the Mage | Lorencia | (118, 113) |
| Elf — AE or EE | Eo the Craftsman | Noria | (195, 124) |
| Magic Gladiator | Wandering Merchant Alex | Lorencia | (62, 130) |
| Dark Lord | Wandering Merchant | Lorencia | (183, 137) |
| Summoner | Rhea | Elbeland | (29, 236) |
| Rage Fighter | Thompson Kenel | Lorencia | (120, 138) |
These are the main configured merchant locations. Other copies of the same merchant can have the same stock. Nearby quest NPCs may look similar: use the coordinates above if you are looking for a shop.
A simple first shopping trip
- Check your current weapon and armour before buying replacements.
- Compare the class, level and stat requirements. Buying an item does not make it equippable.
- Choose the basic skills that support your build. An Energy Elf and an Agility Elf may need different supplies even though they share a class shop.
- Buy an affordable amount of healing and mana potions. Visit supply merchants for Arrow or Bolt as needed.
- Hunt and replace pieces gradually rather than spending every Zen on a full set immediately.
Three different kinds of skill
| Kind | How to recognise it |
|---|---|
| A learned skill | A scroll, orb, parchment or other eligible skill item is used to learn it. Read the class and stat requirements. |
| A weapon skill | The weapon has an eligible skill option. It is different from learning every skill through a shop item. |
| A Master skill | Part of the Master Skill Tree, after the required class advancement and level 400. |
Advanced skills are part of hunting progression
The shops sell selected beginner skills, not every skill in the game. Advanced skills such as Evil Spirits, Death Stab, Rageful Blow and Fire Slash are not starter-shop purchases. Keep an eye on skill-item drops while progressing through stronger monsters.
There is no guaranteed skill drop after a fixed number of kills. Check the actual item and your class requirements before trading for it. A skill being absent from a shop does not mean it has been removed from the game.
What you will not find in starter shops
Jewels and valuable Excellent, Ancient or Socket equipment are not starter-shop stock. Use hunting, events, trading and crafting to progress beyond basic equipment.
