A useful item is more than its name or colour. Read its requirements, damage or defence, level and options before equipping or upgrading it.
| Item type | What makes it different |
|---|---|
| Normal | Basic equipment. Item level, skill, Luck and additional options can still matter. |
| Excellent | Equipment with Excellent options. Read each option; two items with the same name can serve different builds. |
| Ancient | Equipment belonging to an Ancient set. The set’s combination of pieces determines its bonuses. |
| Socket | Eligible equipment that uses sockets and seeds. An empty socket is not a completed bonus. |
| Level 380 equipment | Equipment with its own level requirements and eligible 380-option system. It is not automatically Excellent or Socket. |
| Lucky | A separate equipment system with its own rules. Do not treat it as a general upgrade of any normal item. |
Start with equipment you can use
Town shops provide simple starter equipment and supplies. Better items come through progression. Check requirements before buying a weapon, and learn the skills available to your class. Top skills are not all sold in starter shops.
Jewels have different jobs
- Bless: raises an item from +0 to +6 (always succeeds) and is needed for +10 to +15 upgrades.
- Soul: raises an item from +6 to +9 (50%, 75% with Luck). On failure the item loses a level, or drops to +0 from +7 or +8.
- Life: adds +4 additional option, up to +28 (50%). On failure the additional option is removed.
- Chaos: needed in almost every Chaos Machine recipe.
- Creation, Guardian, Harmony: used in Fruits, pets, wings, 380 options and Seeds. Harmony also adds its own option to normal and Excellent items.

Jewels are not sold in the starter shops. Collect them and decide whether to upgrade now, save for a recipe or trade with another player.
Use the Chaos Machine carefully
- Choose the combination you want to make.
- Prepare the exact materials and Zen.
- Place the materials and check the displayed result and success chance.
- Confirm only when you accept the possible loss on failure.
- Inspect the result before attempting the next upgrade.
Crafting is a central part of progression, including wing combinations and equipment upgrades. Do not assume that every finished item can drop from an ordinary monster.
Boxes and special systems
Different boxes have different reward pools. An ordinary Box of Luck can give simple equipment; it is not the same as a Box of Kundun. A reward is a chance, not a promise of an Excellent item every time.
A custom recipe for adding an Excellent option is not active. Do not spend materials expecting that recipe to work. Custom jewel examples are also not part of the current active item configuration.
